Manufactured Home Amendments – First proclamation date announced and new Regulations made
There have been two important developments in the implementation of the Manufactured Homes (Residential Parks) Amendment Act 2024 (Amendment Act).

Court Decision
In Brightman & Ors v Royal Pines Projects Pty Ltd [2024] QSC 149, the Supreme Court of Queensland applied the implied contractual duty to cooperate in the context of an “off the plan” apartment purchase from a developer.
Legislation Update
The Queensland Parliament has passed the Manufactured Homes (Residential Parks) Amendment Bill 2024 (Bill) with minor amendments.
