Alison is a Special Counsel in our Resources and Energy practice.
/ Experience
Alison has significant experience advising resource and energy corporations in relation to mining, oil and gas projects across all aspects of the project life cycle.
She regularly assists clients with preparing and negotiating farm-in arrangements, joint venture agreements, mineral rights sharing agreements, royalty deeds, as well as native title negotiations, expedited procedure inquiries and future act determination proceedings in the National Native Title Tribunal.
Alison is a native title and Aboriginal cultural heritage specialist and advises resources and energy corporations, and native title parties, in relation to native title compliance, compensation and Aboriginal cultural heritage matters, and regularly assists clients (proponents and native title parties) in native title and heritage negotiations, including project wide mining agreements and Indigenous Land Use Agreements. Alison has a unique understanding of the cultural and commercial considerations of native title parties, as she has experience acting for native title parties in the Pilbara, Goldfields and Kimberley region.
Alison also has experience advising on major construction and engineering projects and construction litigation matters, working closely with commercial and project teams to assess and advise on project risk and managing project related disputes.
