Jonathan is well respected in the industry for his ability to solve complex legal and commercial problems and for his prompt, commercial and concise advice that he delivers.
In addition to his resources and energy project expertise, Jonathan is also an internationally recognised native title and cultural heritage lawyer, as ranked by Chambers Asia Pacific every year since 2007. He has worked in the Australian renewable energy sector for 25 years and has authored chapters on native title and cultural heritage for Halsbury’s Laws of Australia, the renowned encyclopedia of the nation’s laws.
Jonathan applies his extensive knowledge of the resources and energy sector to assist clients domestically and internationally with joint ventures, licensing requirements and drafting appropriate subcontracts, consulting agreements, supply contracts and infrastructure requirements.
Outside of HopgoodGanim, Jonathan is an Adjunct Professor at The School of Law at The University of Queensland.
