Damian is a Partner in HopgoodGanim’s leading Resources and Energy practice. Offering commercial advice and high-quality negotiation skills, Damian’s extensive knowledge includes resources, energy and environmental approval regulations, land access issues for mining, oil and gas and renewable project and native title and cultural heritage law.

/ Experience

Damian has a particular interest in assisting clients in mining, oil and gas and renewable project acquisition, development and regulatory approvals, focusing on due diligence, asset acquisition and maintenance, other regulatory approvals and infrastructure requirements. He also offers an extensive knowledge and experience on all commercial aspects of mining, oil and gas and renewable projects including asset sale agreements, joint ventures, services agreements (including for the METS sector), commodity sales agreements and PPAs.

Damian is the current President of the Queensland branch of the Energy and Resources Law Association (formerly AMPLA) and a member of the Queensland Advisory Committee of the Association of Mining and Exploration Companies (AMEC).
