Our graduates and clerks are our future leaders, so we like to get to know them long before they formally enter our graduate program via a Vacation Clerk, Outside Law Clerk, Law Clerk or SmartLaw Centre role.
Vacation Clerk
Each year we offer multiple Vacation Clerkship programs in both our Brisbane and Perth offices. Across the duration of the program clerks will work with up to two practice groups, based on their preferences. They undertake real legal work, as well as attend client meetings and court appearances. Vacation Clerkships are most suited to law students in their penultimate year of university.

Outside Law Clerk
Our Outside Law Clerks fulfil a very important role delivering documents and generally assisting our lawyers around the office with administrative matters. An Outside Law Clerk role is typically suitable for a current law student in the second year of their university studies.
Law Clerk
Law Clerk roles are offered to candidates who are studying law and have typically completed their first year of study, and are looking for casual or part-time work. They can work in any of our divisions subject to business needs.
Graduate program
The HopgoodGanim graduate program is a fantastic opportunity for our junior practitioners to develop valuable skills they can apply during their legal careers with support from our experienced solicitors. Our program is somewhat unique in its structure and the longer rotations in each division allow our graduates to fully immerse themselves into each group and establish themselves.
