HopgoodGanim Lawyers welcomes senior tax practitioner Michael Patane as a Partner to the firm.
Michael will lead the firm’s national tax practice.
With Michael’s appointment, HopgoodGanim will continue to deliver on its promise of providing industry-leading commercial legal advice to clients across the country.
Michael comes to the firm from EY where he was a tax and commercial lawyer. Prior to EY, Michael was a Partner at top-tier firm Clayton Utz, Deloitte and Deloitte Lawyers.
Michael’s remarkable tax career includes time as Deputy Chief Tax Counsel (Indirect Taxes) at the ATO.
His specific tax experience includes due diligence, negotiating issues associated with sales and acquisitions, share sales and purchase agreements, joint ventures, shareholder agreements, property developments and funding agreements.
Managing Partner, Bruce Humphrys is excited at the unique blend of legal and accounting firm experience that Michael brings to the firm’s client-base Australia-wide.
