HopgoodGanim Lawyers has advised Petit Forestier on the acquisition of a major interest in Eurocold Holdings, an Australian refrigerated vehicles rental company. The acquisition marks Petit Forestier’s entry into the Australian market and reinforces its global position as a refrigeration specialist.

The investment by Petit Forestier has enabled Eurocold to complete its acquisition of Perth-based DCG Rentals, further enhancing Petit Forestier's ability to generate more than 50% of its vehicle rental business outside its French domestic market.

Eurocold, founded in 2021 in Southeast Queensland, has rapidly expanded its operations to operate a fleet of 260 refrigerated vehicles across Queensland, New South Wales and Western Australia. The partnership with Petit Forestier underscores Eurocold's commitment to innovation and excellence in the refrigerated vehicle rental industry.

HopgoodGanim’s team led by Luke Mountford and Sarah Judge, provided strategic legal advice and expertise to facilitate the acquisition and included comprehensive due diligence across the firm’s Employment, Property, Banking and Finance, Tax and Intellectual Property, Technology and Cyber Security teams to successfully complete the transaction.

"We are delighted to have partnered with Luke, Sarah and the team at HopgoodGanim Lawyers on this transaction," said Gregoire Luft, Petit Forestier’s M&A and Corporate Development Director. "Their expertise and dedication were instrumental in helping Petit Forestier enter the Australian market through the acquisition of Eurocold."
