HopgoodGanim Lawyers welcomes Blake Frost as a Special Counsel to the Construction team in Brisbane.
Blake has considerable experience working in the Resources, Energy and Projects, Real Estate, and Government sectors, having worked in back-end matters, ranging from large-scale court proceedings, through to bespoke alternative dispute resolution options for small-sized claims, for both private and government clients.
As well as back-end matters, Blake has also advised clients on general risk advisory on large scale projects, and the management of significant or sensitive issues on current projects (contentious and non-contentious), through advising teams on-site, attending meetings, drafting correspondence, preparing risk analysis models and liaising directly with counterparties to resolve litigious issues during project delivery.
Blake has a strong understanding of procurement models, including traditional models such as; construct only, D&C, EPCM, O&M and alliancing. Blake regularly assists clients when drafting, reviewing and negotiating all project documentation, and is equipped to manage projects from inception, through delivery and to close out.
During his career, Blake has also gained significant experience, both on the east and west coasts, drafting and managing the conduct of disputes in the form of ICC Arbitration, expert determination, Supreme Court litigation and security of payment adjudication.
Partner, Jonathan Fulcher is looking forward to the expertise Blake brings to the firm’s Resources, Energy and Projects clients.
