HopgoodGanim Lawyers first partnered with the Wanless Group in 1997 to assist with the purchase of multiple properties that would soon become their principal recycling site in Coopers Plains.
Today, we provide the Wanless Group with a range of tailored legal solutions to assist their operations, including mergers and acquisitions, employment services, tax advisory, commercial litigation, commercial contracts, property advisory, environment and planning matters, financing, IP and trademarks, as well as providing advice relating to workplace health and safety.
Across HopgoodGanim, the Wanless Group have been assisted by nine practice groups and over 25 lead practitioners, and together, we have enjoyed a 27-year partnership.
HopgoodGanim recently assisted the Wanless Group in relation to the acquisition and sale of various waste transportation and logistics businesses throughout Australia, including the sale of some of the group’s commercial and industrial waste operations in Queensland for over $80 million, and the acquisition of several recycling businesses in NSW, Queensland and Victoria.
Outside of our commercial offering to the Wanless Group, our relationship has grown to include not only the broader group of Wanless companies, but the immediate Wanless family.
Our Private Clients team continue to assist the Wanless family with a range of private legal services, including estate and succession planning, private property purchases, leasing and sales, and tax advice in relation to the family’s asset portfolio.
